Associate Trial Attorney ![]() Mr. Haines enlisted in the United States Marine Corps after graduating from high school and received several honors during his years of service, including a Letter of Commendation for leadership and distinguished service. He was selected as the Platoon Sergeant of his training section and graduated first in his class from Communications Electronics Maintenance School. Following his honorable discharge from the United States Marine Corps, he worked in the Middle East as a communications electronics specialist at the King Khalid International Airport. In this role, Mr. Haines supervised a diverse group of telephone technicians and office personnel in maintaining the airport's critical telecommunications network. Upon returning to the United States, Mr. Haines attended the University of St. Thomas. He worked full time for a global oilfield services company throughout his undergraduate career and achieved several academic honors while balancing work, school, and family obligations. Mr. Haines graduated from the University of St. Thomas with highest honors in Management Information Systems and was chosen by his professors as the "Outstanding Graduate" of his section. After several years in his first career, Mr. Haines decided to attend law school at the University of Houston Law Center, to fulfill his dream of becoming a trial lawyer. Mr. Haines graduated from the University of Houston Law Center, where he was the recipient of a Dean's Scholarship and a participant in moot court competitions. Mr. Haines began his legal career as a clerk for a prominent maritime injury defense firm. After graduating from law school, he worked briefly for a downtown insurance defense firm. His experience at these firms led him to realize that his background and skills were more aligned with representing individuals, rather than the insurance companies and large corporations. Mr. Haines is the son of a turbine mechanic and he grew up in an industrial neighborhood on the East Side of Houston. This background led him to recognize the value of hard work, diligence, and self-discipline. From his service in the United States Marine Corps to his career and academic pursuits, Mr. Haines has accepted and overcome every challenge. As a lawyer, Mr. Haines pursues the rights of his clients with the same vigor and determination that have served him so well throughout his life. He understands that the essential element of the successful representation of his clients' rights is hard work. Mr. Haines truly believes that "helping those who are unable to help themselves is not a passing pursuit, but the obligation of every human person."
